The Obsession Job (And, Second-Run Gets Another Week)

According to today's Willamette Week, Laurelhurst Theater is extending it's run of Serenity into the New Year.

The film will continue to show there from December 30 through January 5, with daily showtimes at 9:40 PM and an additional showtime at 4:40 PM this coming Friday, Sunday, and Monday.

As such, what some of us have been referring to as The Last Screening Job now will be referred to as The Obsession Job. To show just how dedicated we are, we will be gathering tomorrow at Laurelhurst at 9:00 PM (for the 9:40 PM show) to take a group photo with our DVDs in hand.

Second Run Gets Second Week

According to the movie listings in today's Willamette Week, the local second-run theaters currently showing Serenity still will be for another week beginning this Friday.

That means Edgefield, Kennedy School, Laurelhurst, and St. Johns all will continue showing the film at least until Thursday, December 22.

Some people also report that, at least on occassion, McMenamins will rotate films to other of their theaters. If true, that means there's a still an off-chance for it to show up at Bagdad.
